Steven Ross is an editor and director based out of Brooklyn, New York. He has edited and directed documentaries and commercials for Netflix, VICE, The New York Times and many others. In 2020 he edited the NYT Op-Docs short documentary titled “Hysterical Girl” which was accepted to SXSW and shortlisted for the Oscars in 2021. In March of 2020 he began editing all six episodes of “The Andy Warhol Diaries” documentary series for Netflix. The edit lasted almost two years and the series was nominated for Best Documentary Series in the 74th Emmy Awards and Ross was a nominee in the category of Best Edited Documentary (Non Theatrical) in the 2023 ACE Awards.
Between edit schedules, Steven also writes and directs his own personal projects such as “Idolized” which is a short documentary that was accepted to multiple film festivals and most recently was featured on Director’s Library.
